Nurturing Minds for Success has policies in place in order to support fairness and equity for all of our families and that of our Practitioners. Tutoring sessions are most beneficial for students when policies are in place to ensure respect for the planning, teaching, and learning time of the Practitioner and student.
Canceling and Rescheduling of Sessions by Parents / or Guardians
Sessions that are canceled are non-refundable. Students will be offered 1 Make Up session each term for missed sessions. There will be a Set Make Up Day for each term for missed sessions. For all other missed sessions during the Term, students will be given a review WHP (Work at Home Package) in lieu of the missed session. If parents are unable to have students attend the Set Make Up Day for the Term, a WHP can be requested in lieu.
For cancelations, atleast 24 hour notice of is required to receive a re-scheduled session during the Set Term Make Up Day or a Work at Home Package.
At least 3-4 hour notice is required to receive a Work at Home Package for all other absences.
A re-scheduled session must take place during the Set Term Make Up Day for that term.
Re-scheduled make-up sessions cannot be rescheduled.
There are no WHP’s offered for missed sessions during Summer OG Bootcamp Sessions.
Practitioner Absence/Re-Scheduling of Sessions
For Practitioner absences, students will offered an online or in-person Make Up Session, where possible. If students are unable to attend the offered Make Up Session time, students will receive a WHP in lieu of the missed session. The practitioners will do their best to schedule a missed session as much as is possible.
No WHP’s are offered during Summer OG Bootcamp Session absences.
Tutoring sessions may be terminated by parents / or guardians with one month’s written notice at the first of the prior month.
Nurturing Minds for Success Learning Centre Ltd. may terminate sessions with as much notice as possible, where possible, for any reason.
What is a Work at Home Package (WHP)?
A WHP is a review package individualized for your child with practice pages covering most current concepts taught during Sessions.
The WHP is prepared by your child’s Practitioner to support your child to review concepts in lieu of the missed OG Literacy or OG Math Session.
WHP’s are not offered for non-sessions during statutory holidays, Winter Break, and Spring Break. Parents are not billed for statutory holidays, Winter Break, and Spring Break, when no sessions are provided.
